Gift Yourself Oxygen

Air is an important part of human survival, and the fact that it is pure is a great benefit to survival.

For the best quality of life, the air we breathe should be as clean as possible, because the air supplies the lungs and the blood and thus the other organs with oxygen. Surprisingly, according to several WHO studies, the indoor air is 5 to 10 times worse than the outside air even in urban areas.

Pollutants in homes, offices, restaurants, and leisure centers include carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, sulfur dioxide, ozone, household chemicals (from hygiene to cosmetics), nitrogen oxides, radon, and tobacco smoke. In addition to mold, fungi, viruses, bacteria, and animal hair. All of these air pollutants are harmful to health and can also cause allergic reactions that affect the airways.

Importance of Oxygen

The air we breathe around us contains oxygen, and that’s a good thing because we can’t live without it. Oxygen is so important that if we withdraw it for a short period of time, it can be fatal. Why do we need oxygen and how does our body absorb it? Let’s take a look.

Oxygen nourishes our cells and provides the building blocks that our body needs to survive. Our cells combine oxygen with nitrogen and hydrogen to produce various proteins that make new cells. When oxygen combines with carbon and hydrogen, you get carbohydrates, which provide the body with the energy it needs to do what we live for. Oxygen is also needed to make replacement cells for our body. Every day around 700 billion cells in our body are worn out and need to be replaced. Without oxygen, our bodies would not be able to make these new cells.

Oxygen is also an important part of our immune system. It is used to kill bacteria and nourish the cells that make up our body’s immune system against viruses and other invaders. Exhaust air (UV pollutant) is especially good for our immune system as it eliminates bacteria and other factors before it gets into our airways. This makes it easier for the body to access oxygen and prevents a renewed influx of germs and particles that get into the body via the polluted air that has not been expelled.

Finally, it’s important to note that the human eye needs oxygen to function properly. However, the eye receives oxygen in a way that is unique to the rest of the body. Only a few blood vessels are visible to the eye, which is why our eyes take in a large part of the oxygen they need directly through the cornea. The cornea is designed to distribute oxygen to the body directly from the air. When air flows through first (air purifier), it can get into the eye without irritation.

You must relax

We are leading an unhealthy lifestyle which is directly choking our activities. Our work culture is guiding us to work for long hours mostly in the offices sitting at one position the whole day long or maybe even at night. This work stress reduces the intake capacity of food as well as oxygen in your body. Even yawning is one of the indicator that your body needs more oxygen than you get at the moment.

Going out for a small trek or just having a walk through the jungle or on a beach could improve the oxygen level in your body. If possible try to plant trees on the holidays to fulfill your oxygen need. This will not just provide you with the oxygen, but also provide you with an environment that could help you release stress up to certain extent.

“Always remember, pure air is essential for your whole body. Keep providing ample amount of breathable oxygen to stay healthy for a long time.”
